All About Mrs. Masterson
My name is Megan Masterson, and I love being a Caraway Owl! I was born and raised in Katy, Texas, but after one visit to Austin I just knew I wanted to call it my forever home. I attended college at Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. My husband, Will, and I just celebrated our 3 year anniversary and have a beautiful baby girl named Claire. We also have a 12 year old Australian Shepherd who is just as spoiled as the baby!
I started my career at Caraway as a student teacher in Ms. Wilder's second grade class. The moment I walked into the school I just knew that this was the place I wanted to teach when I had a classroom of my own one day. I loved the friendly faculty, supportive parents, and hardworking students. I felt in my heart that Caraway was a special place filled with warmth and a lot of love! Fortunately, I was hired on as a fourth grade teacher the following school year. This will be my seventh year teaching at Caraway and my third year as a third grade teacher. Last school year, I decided to take a break and stay home with our new baby, but I am so excited to be back doing what I love. Working and creating bonds with children and helping them in reaching their highest potential is my passion!
While I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the movies, traveling, and cuddling up with a good book.
